North Carolina’s Huskys' second effort, The Sea King, is a three piece instrumental album like no other! While many instrumental bands in the stoner rock genre today are very similar, this album is a relief. It’s stripped down sound is hypnotic and expansive. Loosely based on the story of a cargo ship of the same name (Sea King), built in Maine.  From the opening track, "The Drunkard" right through the final track "Leeward and Easy", it takes you on a fuzzed out, psychedelic journey with stormy blue skies ahead.

The band’s growth with this album compared to their first Circle the Wagons is amazing. No instrument gets overshadowed or even stands out, while all three band members play their instruments to perfection. The Sea King has to be listened to in its entirety to appreciate the musicianship here. So take your time and enjoy, because once you board the ship, there’s no looking back.

Standout Tracks:
Mayans and Martians, Trading on the High Seas
