Third full length album in three years, these guys could be the busiest instrumental psych rock band today. With the release of First Fall (2016), Kick Out The Jams (2017) and now In Search of Outer Space, we have a beautiful array of mind-expanding rich tunes to get lost in. Cosmic Fall, from Germany continue on their exploratory journey of hallucinogenic, spaced-out bluesy jams on In Search of Outer Space. The aptly titled album name says it all, these guys have added a desolate space rock tone to the album and it fits perfectly within their formula. It’s a great addition as it mixes things up within their catalogue. Just check out the track “Spacejam” … it’s mind-blowing when cranked. The flow of the album feels effortless as it oozes with fluid psychedelia, which is part of the draw, you just never quite know what track you are listening to.

The scattered vocals from bassist Klause Friedrich are a welcome addition which adds another layer of interest. They only appear on the first and last cut, so perhaps they are experimenting with the use of vocals; it could be a nice to hear more on future albums. Check out our recap to see if this is up your alley.
