Dumblegore, what the hell is a Dumblegore? After thorough research we found out it’s the name of a character from World of Warcraft, a Destructive Warlock to be exact. Now, we have no way of knowing if they named the band after this character, but after listening, we’ll assume it is. The two-piece doom outfit from Berlin bring fourth a lo-fi, horror themed sounding album with echoed, blackened death vocals. At times the sludge heavy music sounds as if it came from a poorly compressed mp3 from 1999. The whole album doesn’t veer much from the death/doom sound at all. We couldn’t find any standout tracks that that made us second think the 4.8 rating. We appreciate the addition of the synth work found throughout the album, it just isn’t enough flavor to keep this one hanging around in our rotation.
