Terrific cover no doubt. The latest EP by Germany’s Elephant Messiah is a groovin' stoner rock that will fit comfortably within your heavy rotation. With some catchy grooves and a cool stoner vibe, Odysseys has some great moments, but it just doesn’t take any chances and feels like we’ve heard this already. With clean and upfront vocals, Elephant Messiah hone in on that clean, power-driven stoner sound of bands like QOTSA yet no way near the same level. Definitely give this album a rotation or two, fans of the stoner genre will find this album easy to get into.

Adult Beverage Pairing
Vanilla Porter by Colorado’s Breckenridge Brewery. The 5.40% (ABV) is a tasty brew with notes and aromas of vanilla. It’s a good brew for a glass or two, but not a staple as a go-to beer.

Final Thoughts
Odysseys is a stoner album that really doesn't go out of its way to be different or expand on the genre. We’ll definitely follow these guys as the talent is here waiting to burst out and give us a killer heavy album.
