Stoner and psychedelic rock needs a band that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy. Friendship, based out of Oslo, Norway bring a comforting array of 70s inspired psychedelic groovin’ blues rock with Ain’t No Shame. This album is a needed breath of fresh air and will instantly put you in a positive mood. The production is crisp and vibrant with clean and somewhat  trippy vocals from drummer Fredrik Skalstad. There is however and heavier edge to them that comes to light from time to time, just enough, but not overdone. It’s been a long time since we’ve heard such entertaining and true 70s inspired psychedelic rock with a modern feel.

Standout Track(s)
”Gypsy,” the second track hits on all levels. The tight percussion and groovin’ bass work is stellar. We love the fluent vibe on “Ain’t No Shame” as it has a laid back feel, reminiscent to Brant Bjork. “Harmony Turns to Sound” and “Got Me Feeling so Good” are great back-to-back songs that exude amazing positivity, we must question anyone's music tastes if they pass on “Got Me Feeling so Good”. The soft “Moments” has a Band of Horses mellow tone yet slowly gravitates toward a bluesy psychedelia… great song. “Alaska Nights” brings in some welcome darkness with a heavier tone and “Live Peacefully” has a classic 60s peace harmony vibe.

Alcohol Pairing
Peach Cruiser by Coronado Brewing Company in sunny California. This 6.00% ABV IPA pours with a lite amber color and tastes of tropical fruit and peaches with a moderate peachy bitterness that lingers.
