This 16 minute EP will keep your attention and test the inner strength of your woofers. The brooding black metal sound of North Carolina natives Inristare is fucking impressive. The band has been quite prolific putting out six or so EPs and singles since 2016. Their crisp dark sound really paints some dismal landscapes. Vestiges I invites fans of doom and grindcore for a brief journey of clarity. Caleb’s vocals are harsh and fitting and make for a very succinct road map. This EP has a ton of heartfelt chemistry. Nothing forced, pure dark beauty.

Track Listing:
1. Carapace (7:40)
2. Devoid (2:10)
3. The Cherry Field (3:16)
4. Incandescent (2:25)

Standout Track:
"Carapace" will blow you away with its weight and variety. Check-out the majestic ending. Dismal as fuck, but really diverse and engrossing. The lengthiest and EP anchor.

Adult Beverage Pairing:
Rail House Brewery in North Carolina has some impressive beer selections. The concise power of Vestiges I goes very well with their Mastiff Oatmeal Stout. A remarkably smooth and sessional stout. The complex flavor profile bleeds silky velvet with layers of chocolate, roast and nuts. At 6.5% ABV you can probably put down three of these nicely in a Vestiges I sitting. You will feel good with or without it.
