Heavy rock
Sounds Like:
Asteroid, Kadavar, Overwhelming Colorfast
Wednesday, July 18, 2018
Longhare are a 3-piece heavy rock band hailing from Rijeka, Croatia. Their blend of music incorporates Kadavar-like blues fused with a blend of 70s and 90s influenced rock. There is a whopping 16 songs on this album that shift all over the place and some with no cohesive structure. Many of the tracks have movie or political spoken word interruptions, its ok for a song or two, but this gets tiring after a while.  Just check out “Dinner With Fascists,” the music has a nice rhythm, but the spoken word interrupts the flow … why keep this up, it’s flat out annoying. The production is ok, it definitely has a homegrown feel which does suite the music well. The bottom line is if you fancy heavy bluesy rock with a bit of schizophrenia, this may be right up your alley.

Lasting Impression
Longhare are a talented bunch as there are some tunes that connect with us. You just have to give this album multiple listens and see what sticks with you, 16 songs is a lot of music. - 7/19/2018
