We were excited for a moment as we stumbled upon California-based The Miracle Mongers. Our interest peaked as we found out the drummer is Ruben Romano from Nebula and old Fu Manchu fame. What we have here are seven tracks that slightly veer towards the stoner side of rock. We found this album to be a typical middle of the road rock album that kind of gets lost in the madness of the abundance of stoner albums out there.

Standout Track(s)
“The Ghost”. The somber and swift stoner metal groove is very fluent. It’s an easy song to gravitate towards.

Alcohol Pairing
Grab some Sam Adams Boston brew. Not any seasonal good shit, but the traditional ale.

Lasting Impression
Dumb Monsters is a good album that doesn’t take many chances. The band never steers away from their mid-tempo stoner formula of groove rock. - 12/10/2017
