Straight out of Sydney, Australia welcome three-piece sludge outfit Potion. Their second release is a concoction of filthy doom, sludge and a pinch of black metal thrown in to create this almighty two-song EP Women of the Wand. The bludgeoning riffage is very strong coupled by the sinister, throaty vocals of guitarist/vocalist Lee Jowono. What we love about this EP is there seems to be this underlying psychedelia that elevates the music. It’s an EP that goes by waaaay to quickly, as we are longing for more of this psych-sludge madness.

Alcohol Pairing
Some People Are Immune To Good Advice by New York’s Evil Twin Brewery. The 10.7% ABV Maple Bourbon Stout is a strong seasonal potion that pairs well with Women of the Wand.
