Adrenaline-fueled fuzz is what Red Sun Atacama are all about. If you like the movement of Fu Manchu, the thrust of 1000Mods and the rawness of Texas-based Funeral Horse, than Licancabur is right in your wheelhouse. Formed in Paris, France in 2015, Red Sun Atacama are a tight sounding band with tremendous chemistry, you’ll hear influences stem from Radio Moscow inspired blues to classic Dozer stoner-driven grooves.

What’s even more impressive is there are moments of spaced-out jamming, check out the track “The Gold,” it’s a brilliant tune and could be the highlight of the album. “Red Queen” comes in a close second, as the surging rhythm is so fucking infectious. Go ahead, crank this one way up, forget what the neighbors think and feel the blistering fuzz of Red Sun Atacama.

Tracklist:
1. Atacama (intro) :36
2. The Gold 10:39
3. Red Queen 5:53
4. Cupid's Arrows 1:45
5. Drawers 4:27
6. Empire 11:59

Standout Track(s)
“The Gold,” “Red Queen” and the mammoth instrumental “Empire”.

Adult Beverage Pairing
Enjoy the galactic bitterness of Hoptronix. This 9% Double India Pale Ale by New Holland Brewing pairs well with Red Sun Atacama.

Lasting Impression
Licancabur is one of those fast-paced stoner driven albums that never wears out its welcome. Our recommendation is to take it on a long road trip, its the perfect atmosphere for the album.
