Take Maynard James Keenan (Tool) and  Pete Loefler (Chevelle), blend them together and sprinkle in that Kurt from Glee and you have the vocal’s of Rishloo’s lead singer Andrew Malloux. Unfairly compared to Tool, their song structure more resembles that of Dream Theater’s slow songs.

This is a band with some potential from an instrumental standpoint. Their songs do have occasions of complexity and quite a bit of variation and changing tempos. Guitarist, David Gillett is the real standout here, excellent fretwork and arrangements. Unfortunately, the album falls flat and really tires at about the third or fourth song. Malloux’s vocals are piercing, pitchy and frankly extremely annoying. It is one of those albums where the vocalist sings way too much and the lyrics are flat out overbearing. Not enough instrumental features and breaks from the over dramatic fruity vocals bring this one way down. If only Rishloo followed the lead of Pelican and became an instrumental band.
