If you’re seeking out some new heavy psyche rock to fill that void of something new, look no further than Stone House On Fire. The band from Volta Redonda, Brazil has just unleashed their third album Neverending Cycle. The foundation of Stone House on Fire’s music is influenced by early 70s psychedelics. They are also very creative in adding their own blends of heavy tones, massive riffs and fuzz, creating an original and all-encompassing sound that sets them apart.

What are the highlights of Neverending Cycle?
Let’s begin with “Purge and Purity” and it’s bluesy psyche vibe. The drumming is very tight and rhythmic and the vocals exude a raw sound that gives the track a natural live feel. The bass work on “Anger” is very infectious and the piano in the short instrumental of “Pasaje” is a terrific addition. The last cut “The Neverending Cycle” is a mesmerizing psychedelic trip with well-timed acoustics and bongos, it’s definitely a trip worth taking.

How is the production value?

The production has an analog quality about it, which suites the music perfectly. We can see this album translating well in a live atmosphere.

How is the vocal performance?

The vocals have an echoed, distinctive quality, giving the album its unique sound.

Does the album art reflect the music?
The collage of animals and the serpent holds a psychedelic feeling, so yes it does capture the essence of the music.

Do Stone House Of Fire have other albums worth checking out?
Yes they do, after getting absorbed in this one, check out their previous albums; Buy This Lie and Taped Sessions.

Fat Tire Amber Ale. The brew from New Belgium Brewery has a light and citrus taste with a moderate hint of oatmeal. These fine flavors compliment the album really well.
