The stoner rock gods are smiling upon us with the release of Swan Valley Heights’ second  album The Heavy Seed. The trio from Berlin have crafted a stellar follow up to their 2016 Self Titled release. If you’re a fan of Swan Valley Heights you will not be disappointed and newcomers will have found a gem. The Heavy Seed contains five all consuming and blissful heavy psych jams. Swan Valley Heights possess a heavenly psychedelia like no other band, the musicianship carried across both albums is very broad and majestic for stoner rock.

The first tune, “The Heavy Seed,” begins our journey with a  comforting meandering jam, than the majestic heavy sets in and it sounds absolutely amazing when cranked up. The album has such a rich production as every instrument shines and the vocals blend in beautifully.  The first track alone is monumental and we knew instantly we would give this an editors pick rating. Track two “Vaporizer Woman” is a fucking stoner masterpiece. The way the song flows is tremendous with its uplifting tone. We could easily write a novel about how this album transcends the stoner rock genre, it’s truly a masterpiece of fuzz.
1. The Heavy Seed 13:06
2. Vaporizer Woman 06:24
3. Take a Swim in God's Washing Machine 08:06
4. My First Knife Fight 03:05
5. Teeth & Waves 10:37

Standout Track(s)
The whole album is a standout, but if we must pick a song for new listeners, check out “The Heavy Seed”.

Adult Beverage Pairing
Celebrator Doppelbock by Germany based brewery Privatbrauerei Ayinger. This bottom-fermented, dark doppelbock beer has a modest  6.7% ABV that has a dominant malty taste.  With aromas and tastes of mild coffee tones and very little sweetness, Celebrator is a must pairing with The Heavy Seed.
