The latest effort by Quebec natives The Hunters is a four track, hard rock album with splashes of hardcore, punk and alt rock. After quite a few rotations, we labeled this as a typical Jeckyl and Hyde EP. There are two sides to this one, the first two cuts are in vein of energetic punk and hardcore that had us fired up. The last two songs brought us down from our high, as they bring more of an alt rock vibe that didn’t strike a chord with our hardcore loving editors.

Standout Track(s)
Tracks one and two “OK Bye” and “Coma” bring forth some energetic and raw hardcore emotion.

Alcohol Pairing
The classic famous Pabst Blue ribbon of course.

Lasting Impression
With two maybe three songs we gravitated towards, the EP as a whole is decent. We feel the The Hunters have the talent to unleash a beast of an album at some point if they stick to their hardcore and punk roots. - 3/10/2018
