Released in 2000, this self-titled instrumental album features members of Down, Crowbar and Eyehategod. If you are not a fan of these three bands, hold the phone, as this album sounds nothing like them. Instead, Mystick pulls together a surprisingly vibrant 70''s psychedelic rock album. If you like jam bands that feature the organ but get annoyed with the vocals such as the Zombies, Manfred Mann, and Deep Purple, go grab this one. Ross Karpelman is a wizard on the organ; lending himself as the key component to what makes this album so different and likeable. Ross’ chops accompanied by some terrific lead guitar and drum work round out the six lengthy tunes to provides for a unique stoner rock album stuck in the 70s.

You will find yourself playing the air drums and organ involuntary on this infectious throwback. For an instrumental album, this will be a nice eclectic add to your collection. Unfortunately we could not get this one to the 8 mark as several of our reviewers did find the organ work a little overwhelming and at times.
