The debut from Chicago heavy psych foursome takes stoner rock on some new trippy pathways. Land in the Sky is a bluesy and spacey affair that melds stoner with heavy space rock. With muffeled vocals floating effortlessly among the heavy psychedelia and the hallucinatory use of the organ, Tombstone Eyes bring a fresh outlook to the scene. The band wastes no time getting into the groove, after the intro we are thrown into the mammoth 16 minute surge of “Solar Barge”. This track is a beast and has it all; heavy, tons of groove and flat out jams, a great way to lure in fans of the heavy. The album continues to impress with very unusual rhythmic change-ups that resemble some early and dark works of Deep Purple. If your looking for some heavy tunes that jam and takes chances, we urge you to dive right into this album, it will add just enough originality to spice up your collection.

Standout Track(s)
”Solar Barge” is the easy track to call a standout because of it’s length and the first song you actually get lost in. If you dig deeper, check out “Hungry Ghosts,” the rhythm and vocals are so fluid and the organ work is nestled perfectly within the music.

Adult Beverage Pairing
