Combine the energetic fervor of Droids Attack with the titanic sludge from Telekinetic Yeti and you get the monumental barrage of heaviness known as Twin Wizard. The Wisconsin duo consists of Droids Attack singer/guitarist Brad Van and former Telekinetic Yeti drummer Anthony Dreyer, and together they have crafted a punishingly heavy album. Glacial Gods is the perfect balance between both bands as we get a bit of fast paced fuzz with a foundation of sludge.

Right from start, Twin Wizard will hook you in with the addictive heavy tones of “Ghost Train Haze”. The doomish beginning is all consuming than leads us to the rhythmic stoned fury that Droids Attack is known for. “Sky Burial” continues this pace of heavy stoner bliss, its nearly impossible to skip around. As duo’s become more popular in rock music, these guys are already up there among the best, the production is so full. Glacier Gods is a no brainer for fans of the heavy and fits perfectly within our heavy rotation.

Standout Track(s)
This is a tough call, but if one song would reel the listener in, it would be ”Smoke Wizard”. The track bleeds with euphoric stoner and sludge. A close second is the trippy “Cult of Yeti”. This tune has some sort of hallucinogenic tone that takes hold of the room.

Adult Beverage Pairing
Wake Up Dead by Left Hand Brewing in Colorado. This 10.2% Imperial Stout has great artwork on the can and is just a delicious stout that pairs well with Glacier Gods.

Final Thoughts
Glacial Gods is a tremendous album of stoner and sludge. Our only beef is every song ends on what seems like a minute of feedback or ambiance. This is by no means is a deterrent, so head over to their Bandcamp and just pick this one up, the adrenalin fueled stoner sludge outweighs all.
