Steady as she goes. Weedcamp hailing from Germany deliver music with diligent focus and the fortitude to keep moving forward avoiding distractions. Budding with warmth and vision the band’s self-titled debut is the perfect companion when you prefer no vocal interruptions. We first previewed this on a kayak at the bay of Cape Cod. Now these beautiful settings tend to enhance just about anything you put in rotation, but the album ultimately helped our cause in fighting the current. Further on future rotations we found the album very seamless and supportive of the task at hand. Weedcamp are solid musicians and paint a journey of grinding fretwork and consistent melodies that is well worth your time.

Track Listing:
1. 4 Twenty (8:07)
2. Green Flower (4:48)
3. Nightwalk (11:48)
4. The Wizard(7:39)
5. Leaf (6:49)
6. Blackjack (4:18)

Standout track:
While the album flows together like one song, "Leaf" impresses is most with its poignant melodies and wealth of contrast. Terrific highs and lows along with 1970s style staccato fretwork.

Alcohol Pairing:
Weihenstephaner Vitus. 7.7% ABV Bayerische Staatsbrauerei Weihenstephan Bock. A light-coloured, spicy single-bock, “Vitus” is saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. The fruity smell of dried apricots joins aromas of citrus, cloves and weed. Vitus does not taste like a typical Bock beer but more like a noble, fruity wheat beer. Perfect with red meat and some steady Weedcamp.

Final Thoughts:
Weedcamp do not deliver any jaw-dropping moments. Rather they have a simple formula in their debut that works in assisting with whatever task you want to take on. Call it high-end background music that you can really hone in on when you get in the mood. Give this one a few rotations and it will be a mainstay in your music tool box.
